After so many ways trying to figure out how to install XP from a USB drive that lead to failure, I found the best way. It was just using a simple piece of free software and an nLited version of Windows XP Home(don't forget not to check the multiprocessor support and manual installation and upgrade). The software is called WinSetupFromUSB and can be downloaded HERE. When you download and install the software run it. Plug in your Flash Drive and click on RMPrepUSB button. Choose NTFS on the file system one and NTDLR on the booting system or something.Plug in your USB in the one of the USB slots and turn on the Eee PC. Right after you pushed the power button start clicking Esc. and select your USB Flash. Chose part one and you're ready to go. After that it's a pretty straight forward process. Later it continuous like a normal XP installation. The different is with the partition setup. You have to make sure you deleted all partitions on the 4GB SSD, including the one named BIOS and install it on the 4GB drive. So later it's all normal, drivers, software and so on. Alright, thank you for reading this article about installing XP on Eee PC 901. See you next article!
